If ever you think of taking up an extended motor plan, please reframe from Advantage Motor Plan. Initially when they sell you the policy they tell you about all the wondeful things that it covers for, however when the time comes for them to pay, they will look at every possible angle for you not to get what you actually paid for.
My clutch and gear box was failing. I sent to my mechanic, and he advised that it is broken. Sent a claim to AMP, and they sent Charles the assessor to come and investigate. He advised that there is a small leak from the fear box, and showed me in my policy that it would not cover. I did not dispute it as it was in my terms and conditions. I was to settle the bill for my gear box. He also advised that my clutch is 100% in working condition as it is not slipping.
Now the clutch is gone, and I told my mechanic to strip it. Sent a claim to AMP, and they said they not going to cover because the clutch is burnt.
Insurance is for peace of mind, this Motor plan is more of a headache!
Total cost R7500.00 they want to cover R2500, and said they doing me a favour
you will never get you moneys worth from these guys!!!
