My cheque card expired 05/13 so i went to the Hillcres branch in Pretoria around end of April and they told me my card is being shipped and in the meantime they will give me a temp card. I used the temp card for about 2-3 weeks then it just stopped working. I went back to the branch and they gave me my actual card that was being shipped.
About 2months later i received a call from head office to say the temp card was never linked to my account instead it was linked to someone else and i need to pay back. Not once did i pick up suspicious transactions and when i swiped the card i was receiving sms's so i don't know what the guy was talking about. He then told me he'll call back then following week. Almost 2 month later, and that is today, i receive a call from someone else saying i owe the bank 7k and i must pay it back else they going to take it up with the lawyers?? What the fudge?!?!?! Some incopetent std bank staff supposedly and now i must pay for that?! i don't think so. No apology from them but just some threat?! To make matters worse i use to work for them years ago but on their system it still says im staff. Can someone who knows what they're doing, sort this out!
