Why should i pay?

I would like to express my disappoinment, im feeling after i asked the consultant to close my account as i was moving accounts to FNB, that was not done plus i never got a response with regards to also getting my saving back... now 3 years later i get a call from lawyers telling me i owe standard bank 9k, i suugest standard bank sorts this out beacuse the consultant was told to close account but chose not to.
