Standard bank mistakenly gave me 2 credit card accounts because their consultants are incompetent and don't know how to close an old account when they say they will. When i try and close the one account which i have been trying to do for 2 weeks its not happening!! went into the bank and paid off the amount that the teller said i owed. They said i had to call the card division the next day to close the account. When i called the card division, they said they couldn't close the account because i still owed R5, 27!! Really Standard Bank?? Really??? So i went back and paid them R5, 27 in cash!! I again tried to close the account. The lady on the phone told me it was fine no problem. I said i need proof that this account is closed because i don't trust you. She said i would be emailed in 24-48 hours!! Its been over a week and nothing!!!
I will be closing my ALL my accounts with you on the 2nd of August after all my debits have gone through!!
