I live in the UK, however own property as well as other business interests in South Africa.
I have had my FNB Account for so long, I can't remember... Probably since when it was a Bob T account...
I use Internet banking and the mobile apps to manage my account.
I made an international transfer in the region of? 2000 to my Fnb account and was watching to see when it would arrive. I called the forex department and got what they needed in order to trace the payment when it hadn't shown up after 10'days.
I suddenly noticed that one of my accounts (my main account where I had also transferred the monies) was now closed.
After calling to the call centre from London, half an hour later, I was none the wiser as to the state of my account. The lady stated that someone would get back to me the next day... That was 2 days ago...
What abismal service... No email, no notification whatsoever... And this is after I had put in place and notified my bank manager of the fact that I was now domiciled in London and that my father had power of attorney over the account (he is an attorney)
I have my entire South African monies (in goings and out goings) all coming out of this account... lost!
