ABSA most probably the worst bank

I have been trying to cancel a Life insurance policy that is in my name and was paid by my dad for the past 2.5 years. My dad passed away in February 2011 and obviously ABSA stopped receiving payments. I have made numerous calls in the past 2.5 years but no luck to get it cancelled. It cost me just money having to continually have to phone ABSA and sit in a queue for up to 20 minutes to speak to someone. I want this policy cancelled. I don't understand why it is not cancelled seeing as they have not received any money for the past 2.5 years. I am so glad I moved all my accounts from them to FNB because this is pathetic.
