After reading the long list of complaints below it explains the incompetency one has to deal with on a daily basis when dealing with Standard Bank, not sure which way they "moving forward" but they surely moving.
After my cards expired 9 months ago I am still begging pleading fighting to get access to my funds. Every person you speak to gives the some lame generic excuse/ response which comes out some badly written textbook. Even after speaking to the Branch Manager who had to call the Marketing Manager into the meeting for some back up when asked to speak to him but even they couldnt resolve the issue, probably cause it has nothing to do with marketing in the first place. Short of the long is, I am not requesting for a payment holiday or an overdraft or some special arrangement, I just need access to my funds which I havent had for so long however it seems far easier to get credit with your bank. Not sure what the Prestige Bank thing is all about, just another to collect money from clients for getting nothing in return.
