Ok, so long story short, or i'll try!!! I have been with standard bank my entire working career 13 to 14 years now. I have my house, car, overdraft, revolving loan and credit card all through standard bank. I work in the credit industry my self so i know how important it is to commit to your financial obligations and PAY FOR YOUR DEBT!!! So a month or so ago i decided to change my debit order date to allign this with my salary date. I went into their branch and changed it with one of the consultants, no problem. Now out of the blue about a month later i start receiving arrears SMS's on a daily basis!!! What the!!! Firstly, i always ensure that there is enough funds available for my DEBIT ORDERS to go off, secondly, if by some small twist of fate i don't have funds available i have an unused overdraft facility of R80K which would easily cover my instalment of R2!!! What i am trying to say is my payment is made by DEBIT ORDER and there are funds always available in my account, so how the could i have not made a payment!! Standard Bank has obviously up and i demand to be called by a manager immediately to resolve your issue and error!!! Really!!!
