Couldn't open new account

I wanted to open a savings account with ABSA today just to find that they could not assist me due to the system blocking me for unknown reasons. The consultant said that there is nothing he can do. If this is the type of service you receive trying to open an account how bad will it be in the long run?? They just lost a future client, I wonder how many potential clients they lose daily because of this issue.
