Text message alerts

I changed my cellphone number last year in November and in December I went to Absa to change my contact details. I was assured that the details were updated as I have requested but I did not receive any text message alerts with regards to the activities taking place in my account. In February this year I went to Absa again to report that I don't receive any alerts with regards to the activities taking place in my account. The consultant who assisted me assured me that the matter has been sorted and I will be receiving text message alerts from then onwards. In May this year I repeated the same procedure and I was promised that the matter has been sorted but still to date I have not received any text message alerts on my cellphone. I don't really know what to do any more, I don't know any person who lives without monitoring the activities taking place in their bank accounts. Now I am forced to request bank statements every month in order for me to monitor my account and that is costing me a lot of money. I am paying a service fee for the account that I have but I am not fully enjoying the benefits. I am really considering moving to another bank after a second disappointment with Absa
