Can't change statement cycle

Requested change of statement cycle to coincide with calendar month. Received response:

"Thank you for your secure message.

Please be advised that we are unable to change the statement date on the current account as well as the investment.

Please note your reference number for this enquiry is: 64049347, 64049348"

In this day and age??? Buy a new computer.

Our response:

Why not? We simply do not believe that you cannot provide a monthly statement on dates that suit the customer. And if it is indeed true, we need a new bank.
