I have a fnb cheque account for the past 5 years, it was brought to my attention recently that I was being charged around R250 per month. I found this ridiculous as I have a fnb cheque card, my other collugues pay below r100 and receive unlimited swipes etc. I logged a query with fnb online and the site promised a 48 hour turn around time. 2 weeks have past and the email I send for follow up gets deleted as per read receipt. When I went to the phoenix branch, the floor manager was so busy, she asked me to go to my branch I openeded the account she basically can't help me. I deserve a refund of all bank charges since they value bundle on cheque account has been opened as I would assume I would be contacted or notified or atleast upgraded to this cheaper service auto. The bank has been acting unfairly and my last resort is to go lodge a complaint with the ombudsmen.
