Credit card closure complaint

I settled my credit card on 16 August 2013 and called the call centre to request that my credi card be closed because I don't want it anymore. The consultant told me that it would take 7 to 14 working days to close the acoount. Needless to say the account is still active and bank charges anbd interest are being charged and debit order payment for these charges are going through my cheque account.

I even contacted [Email Removed] who then referred me back to the credit card division. I then emailed the credit card division twice and haven't got any response from them.

Why is the account still active? Why is interest being charged on an account with a zero balance?

Kindly reverse all the charges you unfairly charged me, refund my cheque account for debit orders and close this account.
