I applied for a bond over the phone, I made it clear that STD Bank should assign the application to the developers' attorneys as stated in the OTP with the STD Bank panel code for the attorneys. When it finally got approved, I was willing to accept but then I found that they have assigned it to their own attorneys and NOT the ones stated on the call and on the OTP. After a long fight I was put through to a team leader who helped me escalate the issue. So this was escalated but nothing they could do as they had to re-capture the entire application. A week later, after not hearing anything back, I gave them a call. The application was successful and they were assigning the attorneys. A week later I HAD TO CALL THEM AGAIN!!! Only to find out that they have assigned it to THE WRONG ATTORNEYS AGAIN!!! Now the matter has been escalated AGAIN and will probably take another 10 days to process! This is pathetic to say the least. I got another offer from FNB with a better rate, perhaps I should move all my accounts, insurance, loans etc. to FNB. After years of supporting STD Bank, I'm seriously disgusted and extremely disappointed. New Escalation number: 54418148
