My father in law paid money into my credit card on the 29th of July 2013 already & it is still not showing. The money was eft'd from Absa Bank & it was paid into my primary account number as per my monthly statements. Emailed on the 1st of August requesting an investigation, Patience of your call centre told me (on 31 July) to email on the 1st if money didn't reflect. She told me that it takes up to 3 working days to show if payment is eft'd from another bank. Got a telephonic response yesterday to my email, I was told it can take up to 4 working days for the money to reflect? Two different stories. Then she told me she can't escalate the matter cause it hasn't been 4 working days. Nevermind the client is unhappy/the inconvenience! She further said to wait till Monday (5th of Aug) & if the money still doesn't show then I should contact the call centre again. I find this completely absurd & ridiculous!! It does NOT take A WEEK for money to clear unless it's a cheque deposit which it isn't. If I eft money from my FNB account to Absa, it takes 1 day MAX! I want this sorted out TODAY! Otherwise I am going to the Financial Services Board and National Credit Regulator!
