I took a loan with FNB and was advised to upgrade the loan account to be an account that I receive my salary in, thus migrating to FNB from another bank. Upon upgrading FNB closed the upgraded account within a week, without any valid reasons (they claimed the account was inactive and yet it was upgraded a week before) at that time all my debit orders and salary were switched to this account, I went to the branch to enquire about this account they confirmed it was inactive, I paid in R10 000 to re activate it and I was charged R358 transactional fees by FNB, this switching has already cost me R358, I had to make manual payments to at least half of my debt orders, this resulted in a lot of admin for me as I had to call those institutions and find out their banking details and amounts due. After convincing me to switch FNB never debited the loan instalment, I only received notification after two months. Now I appear as a bad payer on ITC due to their incompetency.
