Beware Debit Order Switching

This has been my worst experience at any Bank. I moved over to FNB due to their service promise and many other opportunities. My debit orders were switched before my Salary. My salary got paid into my old account and when I queried FNB said they were limited to what they can do with Debit Order switching. I accepted stating that I would pay money into the new account to cover debit orders when my salary gets paid in. When I attempted to do this my account was already dormant as I had not paid in the money on time. When I called my new branch, Balfour Park, for assistance the admin manager, Leon, was incredibly rude and unhelpful. He was more than happy to watch me walk away instead of try to help. FNB have cost me an entire morning as well as paying for bounced debit orders. After receiving a call from my fiance, Leon magically got my dormant account activated and called to tell me it was sorted out. If FNB treat their new customers like this, I would be horrified to see how their current customers get treated. I will be staying with ABSA Bank when I am guaranteed to be treated well.
