My Cheque account is Blocked

Hi,

I am a client of Standard Bank for 15 years. Last year, my wife applied to be put under debt counselling, but since we are married in community of property, it affected me as well. Because of this, I could not swipe my cheque card any more. Based on this, she cancelled the debt counselling., however, last week when I got to the ATM, I realised my account was suspended. I than went into Standard Bank Somerset Mall branch where they advised me that because I am still under debt counselling, they have suspended my account. I have no access to my account whatsoever. I am pretty sure my debit orders are also block, which will have other ripple effects when it comes to the time when the debit orders will be deducted.

This issue has not been resolved, and as I understand, Standard is not allowed to suspend my account because I am, according to them, still under debt counselling.

At this stage I still don't know what to do, and what I can do to get access to my account. The fact is, my life is on hold, I cant pay nothing, and my family is dependant on me.
