STANDARD REPLY - DECLINED

I am a ONE ACCOUNT (combined cheque and bond account) holder, which must be the WORST PRODUCT ever devised. T's & C's specify that no other cheque facilities such as an overdraft is allowed. When additional funds are needed, a myriad of forms are to be completed and faxed, and then comes the STANDARD REPLY - declined because of affordability. They have no consultants at branch level with whom to discuss your situation, only in Joburg, irrespectve of where in SA you live. In my recent application the contact number for my consultant was always on voice mail, and it took 8 working days to receive my STANDARD REPLY. As a result of the T's & C's and the STANDARD REPLY I had been forced to obtain unsecured loans at exorbitant interest rates at other banks over the recent past, and now urgently require additional funds from my One Account to consolidate this debt. It is not new debt I want, just a transfer of existing debt to be more affordable and manageable. FNB, however, is not interested in assisting me, irrespective of the fact that I had been a client since 1983.

What now? Debt Counselling? Placed under administration? Bancruptcy?

FNB, I hate your One Account and your attitude.
