Awful Service and Bad Attitude

After applying for the excess in my Home Loan to be paid out to me on the 21 June, i am still waiting for someone at Std Bank to provide the "exceptional" service that they promise. No communication as to what the problem with my Dad's ID was even after several phone calls to them. Turns out the credit bureau Std Bank deal with had inputted one letter incorrectly & this was the problem. Std Bank refused to tell us what the issue was, only insisting we had to go to Home Affairs & get a letter verifying his ID. After explaining to Std Bank that Home Affairs refused to provide us with this document, what else could we do to rectify the issue, the answer was NOTHING! If we did not do what we were told then I could not get the funds. We went to the credit bureau on our own, found out the problem on our own, and are having the problem corrected on our own - no advise or support from Std Bank! Its now been almost 6 weeks and we still wait... The credit bureau were polite & helpful in resolving this issue without having to involve Home Affairs... where was the service from the Bank. When i asked if the Credit Manager could phone me i was told they do not make calls to customers!
