FED UP WITH STANDARD BANK

I settled my VAF account with Standard Bank in 2012. After obtaining a credit check from the Credit Bureau today, I was informed that my account with Standard Bank according to their system, has not been updated since 2012 and as a consequence, I am unable to obtain further credit as it shows me as a bad payer. I had in the last week had two companies trying to obtain further finance (Including Standard Bank Home Loans), and both times my application has been declined due to my "credit record". I have no defaults or judgements, but because Standard Bank didn't bother to update the system, I am now a "bad payer! " I am fed up with Standard Bank and think I should switch to FNB. After having called Standard Bank today to rectify this, I am told to wait 7 working days and the credit bureau another 20 days, apart from the time, trouble, expense and the worry, it is an outrage that the delays in resolving this takes as long as it do. I am considering legal action to be compensated for my anguish, worry and the damage to my good name and reputation. Perhaps someone would like to call me today? (I'm not holding my breath, but I do know my lawyers will answer the phone when I call)
