Thank you for your honesty

I was at one of your branches to fix something with my bank account and the person who assisted me asked me if i don't want to register for online banking. I said no thanks as this was just a side account as my main account is with another bank. I was, however, thinking of closing the account with the other bank and use Standard Bank as my main bank due to, amongst others, an unauthorised debit order that went off my account at the other bank.

He then told me, as I already knew, that all the banks had that issue but that Standard Bank is a real gem as not only do they charge more to stop a debit order and to reverse it, but they also charge to give out the information on what company debited your account.

So whatever the client does they are basically, three times over, for that is perpetrated by a third party that they have allowed to happen.

I will now no longer be moving my main business to Standard Bank as I'll be worse off than I currently am, as my current bank charges much less than they do to fix a problem not caused by the client in the first place.
