Horrid service

I have been a customer for years with Standard Bank but the service that I received from them today was appalling. I called in on the 17/12/2013 to order a new garage card and was informed that the order has been placed. On the 18/12/2013 I transfer funds into my card as per usual which is always way above the minimum payment required. Since then no word from Standard Bank, so I call them today to follow up on my card and I am told that my card was not ordered because on the 17th I was over the limit by a 100 odd Rands. Never mind that a payment of R1000 was made on the 18/12/2013 the card was not processed. Cherry on top Standard Bank makes no attempt to contact me to inform me that my card will not be replaced. Then I have the pleasure of speaking to Thato who keeps asking me if I received my statement that indicates that I was over my credit limit, as if that addresses the issue of Standard Bank's failure to communicate that my card was not ordered. Would the payment made the very next day after the card was ordered not affect the status of my card? Instead they wait for me to call to follow up on the matter. Thato should consider the use of common sense instead of scripted FAQ.
