Why should we pay for poor quality cards

My Standard bank titanium card is damaged, I contacted the customer service centre to order a new card.
I was told that my card will be replaced in 5-7 working days and it will cost me about R107.00 for the replacement of the card as it is older than 6 months. the customer service agent couldn't assist or explain why all he did was give me a complaints no. 0112274321 that doesn't work. I cannot understand why should I have to pay for a card that is of poor quality and is now damaged. I pay a service fee monthly I pay to deposit I pay to withdraw now I have to pay to replace a card that is damaged so that I can pay to use it. I have been a standard bank customer for years and in the past year your service to me has been so bad I seriously considering moving. I have a prestige banker who cannot return calls or answer emails, a customer assist programme not able to assist and now I have to pay for a card to use money in my account. You are really turning into the BEEP bank. Standard bank moving forward but leaving their loyal clients behind.
