I transferred money from one Nedbank account to another. It reflected immediately on our banking profile. But the next morning, the money had only gone through the next day, after the debit orders that it should have covered had gone off. If money is transferred and it is only going through the next day, then it SHOULD NOT reflect on my profile as having been deposited in the new account. I understand that I should have checked whether the transaction said it is going through or not. But, it showed on the new account. If it isn't in the new account, it should not be reflected as being there. That is my issue. It is a lack of transparency that I find especially disturbing when I am under the impression that I have money in my bank account to cover my debit orders and I don't. Of course, the cost for not honouring the debit orders go off within 24 hours. Strange enough, if I had made that transfer from FNB to Nedbank, there would have been no problem.
If I call the Call Centre about it, they cannot talk to me without my husband's permission. Even though it is my own account in my own name. But that is probably a completely separate issue.
