Doctor thinks she is more important than her patients and does not bother pitching up to her own practice for appointments. Booked the first appointment of the morning for 7:40am so that I wouldn't have to wait for overrun appointments. Doctor hasn't bothered to grace us with her presence. Receptionist doesn't even say anything to waiting patients. Got here after I did and instead of checking on why I was here or letting me know the doctor will be late they proceeded to make personal phone calls which went on for 15 minutes before I decided to interrupt to find out about my appointment which was already 20 minutes late. Its now almost an hour over and still no doctor. Assistant looks shocked that I asked her to phone the doctor to find out when she is planning to come in as I can't wait for her the entire day. She is even asking everyone in reception if they need a note for work (so is the expectation that we will be here the entire day?). Also not to mention that this is unethical as the doctor has not even seen us yet. May update review if the doctor decides to come actually come in to see her patients.
UPDATE: Waited another 30 minutes for the feedback from the phone call to the doctor which I requested. Once again, no one bothered to come update the waiting patients. And once again had to wait for the receptionist to wrap up her personal call (which was being made on the work landline and not here cell phone) before I could be assisted. She made me wait 5 minutes standing right in front of her while she continued to chat on the phone (definitely not work related). Assistant was then called to give me feedback and the feedback was "the doctor said she is coming". This is the same answer I got an hour before. Asked where the doctor is coming from and could not get an answer. Asked why the assistant didn't ask the doctor what time she would be there so that she could inform the patients and was told that all the doctor said what she is coming!!! How can you be 1.5 hours late (thus far) to your own practice and not bother to even provide a reason and apology to your waiting patients (by 9am there were 6 people waiting for this doctor in the waiting room). I eventually just ended up leaving as I could not wait any longer for someone as arrogant as this "doctor". Pholile Mpofu is a disgrace to the profession and has a God complex which makes her think that her time is more important than the patients time and forgets that the patients are actually there as part of a business transaction and she is not doing us a favour by pitching up to appointments.
