I was just on the discovery website now checking the DQ points on my Car Insurance, I was shocked to realise that my Car Insurance has ben cancelled. I decided to call their call centre to find out what happened. A lady by the name of Philene Swanepoel checked the system and told me that my policy has been cancelled and the reason is that it has lapsed. I asked her how can it lapsed when the premium was successfully recovered from my bank account. She told me that she is not sure but she will excalate the matter to the relevant department and I asked for a reference number which is Ref. No: 2926294287.

This is not the first time that I have encountered problems with Discovery Insurance, ever-since I joined them on the 1st of July 2013 they have been giving me problems. To begin with, they started my policy on the 25th June 2013 then debited my bank account with the pro rata and the premium. Secondly, I took the car for inspection to Tiger Wheel & Tire as per the policy contract agreeement, to my suprise when I arrived there they (TWT) demanded R95.00 for the inspection. Then now this? What if I was in an emergency now and only to find out that I am not insured???
