I recently moved into a house (from a flat that was 2 streets from the Train Station), the house is in a much safer area. The house also has an alarm system, burglar bars on windows, safety gates on all doors. armed response, lifted vibracrete walls at the back with sharp wired fencing around the house. I phoned my insurance to update my address and change the details on my policy, I was sooo shocked to hear that my premium has increased with more than R100 per month. I said to the consultant that this is unacceptable and I will be forced to start shopping for another insurance company. I told him that I expect somebody to phone me back and discuss this. Nobody even bothered to phone me back!
