A family member drove into my car while being parked at their place 26/06/2013. I was called by Prinesh Naidoo and it was arranged to see the assessor 27 June. After hearing nothing about quote, I called Outsurance 28 June 15:00 and was told by a Dabson Kanyoka that it shows that I will be claiming from my policy. (Mr Naidoo was on leave) After telling him the whole story, he said that he will be changing the report to reflect that I wish to claim from the other party's policy and will be sending it to the legal department.
Again no word from Outsurance, until the family member started asking questions. Finally received some documentation to sign from Mpho. Outsurance will reimburse R5047.07 -- as quoted by Bens Panelbeaters.
When I contacted Bens Panelbeaters, I was told that they will re-quote. Re-quote amount R5607.85???
When I questioned the difference, I was told that they give Outsurance 10% discount for all the work being referred to them. And because it's a 3rd party claim, I have to pay the difference?!
I WILL NOT PAY THE DIFFERENCE! The 2 quotes should be the same - the "innocent" party should not be penalised for discounts etc?! I contacted Mpho again - still no fee
