For 2 years I have been driving with a damaged car due to Outsurance's refusal to deal with the matter.
- I was insured with Outsurance, as was my father. (Both of us paying our own contracts).
- My father accidentally drove into my car which was parked in their driveway.
- Outsurance refused to process a third party claim against my father's insurance company, i.e. Outsurance. (Because he too was with Outsurance?)
- I demand to know why the third party claim has not been processed/paid? I want my car fixed and I should not have to pay.
- Refusing to pay because we are apparently in the same household does not make sense. I'm married, working full-time, buying my own things, not a dependent, paying my own insurance, cooking my own food etc. There is no basis to a claim that I was in his household and therefore a third party claim cannot be processed. Evidence of this was provided. There is a difference between being family and being part of the same household!
- After countless calls/e-mails and after writing to the ombudsman I eventually gave up.
I deserved a written response!
People need to know that you IGNORE third party claims when they are against family also with Outsurance
