I'm disappointed with the way Outsurance handled my claim. I've been with Outsurance for nearly 10 yrs & never had a claim or non payment of premuims. On the 21 May, I was hit on rear right by another Outsurance client on Samrand Rd. The guy took down my details & then refused to give me his driver's licence when I asked for it. He took photos, told me he was late for work & just drove off. I then followed him, when he realised this he immediately got off the M1 S highway & took Old JHB road. He stopped for no reason, then started driving again. When I called to find out where he was going he said "to the police station" & that I can follow him. We got to the station, the officer took the statement (which he never denied & even said I must let him know when I have the panelbeater quote. He even apologised for being rude to me). I sent him the quote on 17/06. He sent it to Outsurance for claim, I went for an assessment on 18/06. To my surprise I was informed by the Outsurance legal adviser that my claim was rejected because I was turning right. I asked if they got the police report & was told they get charged for it? 3rd party told me he was advised by Valencia not to accept claim!
