Unable to get a 3 month statement

I needed a 3 month statement on my cheque account and have been told that it is not possible due to the consultant choosing the incorrect setup when i opened my account. i was made to wait for 2 hours in the bank while they tried to sort this out. i eventually left and they said they would sort it out and get back to me. They did eventually get back to but the response remained the same "We are not able to get a statement for you". I find this crazy with everything these days being computerized. THANKS TO ABSA MY APPLICATION FOR A HOME HOME LOAN HAS BEEN DECLINED.
