I borrowed R1528 from Wonga South Africa in May the repayment was R1896.80. I received an sms a few days before the 27th of May to say that my debit order is scheduled for Monday the 27th and the day on which the money was deducted another sms was sent to say it was successfull. Cool, great service! No... unfortunately not. I received a call from there collection agent on monday the 1st of June to say that my account is in arrears with R117 but he cant explain. I faxed through a copy of my statement to the collection dept and e-mailed my complaint... No response. Tried the customer care service but they did also not respond. So today I received an sms from them today saying that the account is handed over to Blake for collection. They also cant explain why the account is in arrears. The cost of this phone calls is going to work out more then the arrears but is it unfair of me to want to know where this arrears come from and why was I contacted only a month after the initial amount was decucted. I was a first time client and lost all my faith in their service!!!
