I am a standing customer with ABSA for the last 25 years. The current cheque account that I experience repeated problems with I have also had for the last 4 years. At first I was very surprised with the repeat problems, but now i am just plain frustrated and highly irritated. My card was stopped due to FICA not done on the 18th of June 2013 I went in to the Bethal ABSA branch and did the FICA on my account. To my surprise on the 25th of June 2013 yet again I was blocked due to FICA.I again went in to the bank and they went through everything and confirmed that they didn't do everything correctly the previous time, this being the reason why my account was stopped again. Being a bit irritated and clearly so they assured me that everything has been done correctly now and that I will not experience the same problem again. On the 2nd of July 2013 I yet again experienced the same problem. I called the call centre and they advised me that the problem is at the Bethal branch. The branch advised me that they did everything accordingly. Please can someone from ABSA assist me with this, I dont know if I can take anymore of this incompetence
