At the beginning of the year I applied for a credit card. Firstly the process took over 3 months to open the account. Also 2 credit card accounts were opened in error by Nedbank. I have since noticed that I am being charged for Payment Protection Insurance.
I did not request this insurance. Granted it was around 5 months ago so my memory may not be 100% however I know for 100% that if I was asked I would not have opted for this insurance. In addition I have a direct debit that pays the balance in full thus there is minimal risk of not paying - therefore no need for the payment protection insurance. I am currently in the process of trying to get a refund from Nedbank.
Just as well I check my statements...
