Card has been blocked!!! cant tell me y!

Doing my normal online banking, forgot my password so i tri to change it.
did what i normally do when i change my password for safety. did not say anything about wrong info! just block my card! Phoned the call center! and the lady tells me you have to go to the bank and sort it out! She cant help me!
wants to charge me R50 for that!
I stay 50km from town!
