My home has been insured with i'sure risk solution who is the intermediary for Regent Ins Co Ltd for 2 yrs. My geyser burst on saturday, 29/12/12, called the 0861 number and was advised their CLAIMS DEPARTMENT closed til monday, but will send a plumber who needs to be paid upfront. i will then be able to get refubd from insurer on monday. Plumber calls and says it will be R1500, when they arrive says gyser completely busted and needs R7000 upfront!! we decide to wait til monday to lodge claim then. Monday 31/12/12, call claims dep, spent in excess of 1hr on fone to get thru, tons of emails sent .most unanwered, only to be told they are offline and unable to register claim. in the afternoon, speak to claims department and is told plumber would arrive at 17h30. No1 pitched! 01/01/13 public holiday so claims department closed. 02/01/13 on fone by 08h30, explain all my problems and plumber gets sent out by 17h00 new geyser installed. Friday nite, 18/01/13, electricity trips, husband checks switches, notices geyser leaking! call only to be told claims department closed. Saturday, 19th call 0861 cant get hold of manager. To date geyser still leaking HOT WATER! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY
