UNAUTHORIZED DEBIT

I AM A CLIENT AT NEDBANK.
I HAVE A PERSONAL LOAN, DEBIT AND CREDIT CARD AND VARIOUS POLICIES WITH THEM.
LAST MONTH MAY 2013 A DEDUCTION OF R1450 WAS MADE FROM MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE.
I AM AWARE THAT MT CREDIT CARD WAS BEHIND ON PAYMENT.VARIOUS CALLS WAS MADE TO ME AND EVERYTIME A CONSULTANT ASKED ME WHEN I WAS GOING TO PAY AND THE AMOUNT.I GAVE THEM DAY AND AMOUNT AND PAID EVERYTIME.
I CALLED THE CALL CENTER AND THEY COULNT TELL ME WHY I WAS NOT INFORMED THAT MONEY WAS TO BE DEBIT FROM MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE.
IM STILL WAITING ON A ANSWER.
IS IT OK FOR BANKS TO JUST TAKE MONEY FROM YOUR DEBIT CARD? DO THEY HAVE THE RIGHT? ALL I WANT IS AN ANSWER...
I AM HOWEVER SWITCHING BANKS.
