Why wait so long for your mistake

Last week saturday i went to draw my money at a atm .the first atm number 7877 @19:11:34 i went, gave me a option to enter my amount i enter 850 00 and the screen said out of service, i then went to another machine atm nim 4274@ 19:12:25 min after that and got my money. Yesterday i went to check my balance and on my statement it stated that i was in a -850 00 on my account . i then went to standard bank in viking place cape town where i lodge a complain and the assistant gave me a ref number 53771903 and said that my money would be paid out in 24 hour because they took the 850 00 from my salary this week. This morning i phoned the call centre and they said i must wait 15 working days for my money to be refunded. WHY must i wait so long for my own money PLEASE HELP ME
