I had an accident on the 17th of March 2013 and it tooK the better part of 3 months to get this settled after it was reported to me that the car will be written off. According to my contract it states that vehicle hire will be provided until a replacement vehicle is bought if there is a cash settlement and Santam is refuting this even though I have provided proof of the policy documentation that they provided me.
I have had to call almost weekly while my car was being written off to get feedback and they could not even warrant a call to let me know that they have settled the car. All I got was a rather rude email letting me know that I am no longer eligible for car hire.
Please stick to the stipulations in your contract
