Good Day,
On the 1st of June I used my ABSA debit card to swipe for various transactions at different vendors. All my transactions were declined or after a few swipes it went through. Some of the transactions I eventually paid by cash. Although three of the transactions were declined the payments went through on my account and is not lying as "Pending" on my account. It is a big amount and I have now been waiting for a week and a half for ABSA to clear it and return my money.
I have phoned ABSA last week and I was told to send an email to Card Disputes which I did on Thursday the 6th of June. I emailed ABSA again yesterday but still I have received no response. The only response I receive is a acknowledgement of receipt but no action! In the meanwhile I must be happy that my moneys are on hold for a transaction that ABSA's system declined due to their system being overloaded on the 1st of June.
ABSA, I would like this now resolved. Your service levels are dropping again...
