My client MR G Nel has paid his account off under debt review in accordance with the court order. we sent STD bank the full statement showing all payments to the account and exactly how it was settled and requested a paid up letter. Std bank replied to say that the account was terminated as we stopped paying. we advised them that it is obvious that we would stop paying the account as it was showing as paid up from our side in accordance with the court order. We asked for a statement of the account, they refused to provide one and now claim the client owes -R5000. we are there to assist the consumer and the bank to get the funds owed to them, but unfortunately the terrible attitude of the bank to assist does not help the situation at all. Provide a full statement showing you are in compliance with the court order and where you get the difference from and we will gladly see what can be done, but instead you provide nothing but poor service and a bad attitude towards your clients and their needs.!!
