Cancellation Penalty fees

I was advised on Sent: 30 April 2013 03:10 PM Subject: RE: RE: RE: [SR Ref No : 33697482] [SR Ref No : 33717521] [SR Ref No : 33738070] by Saffiyah Bhana Customer Contact Centre E-mail Unit that cancellation figures are worked out pro- rata from the date that the notice is given. The account has not been cancelled as yet, therefore the notice penalty amount is decreasing daily the accurate notice penalty may only be calculated on the day the account is closed. I was advised that I'm required to pay the amount stated on the cancellation figures in order for the account to be cancelled, once the funds have been received and final calculations are completed any credit funds will be refunded to me.

I have since contacted the Call Centre today since the account was cencelled yesterday and they said that I'm liable for 13K cancellation penalty when the full 3 months notice was served & they can do nothing!
