On the 12th of June - I sent Shaun a mail advising him of my intention to cancel my membership with immediate effect.
On the 13 June, He advsised that I needed to pay cancellation fee of R350 in order for them to process the cancellation. Once that is done, a months' notice needs to served and then will be cancelled.
On the 1st of June I paid the cancellation fee and sent the proof through.
Today I got a mail from him saying "Your cancellation fee has been received. Please note that you only paid cancellation fee on the 1st of July and you need to serve a months' notice after cancellation fee has been paid. This means your last debit order will be 25th July and will be cancelled". I don't understand why my account has to be debited again because I am already serving the notice. The fact that the debit order goes on the 25th does not mean my month starts on the 25th. I selected d the 25th because that's the day I get paid and convenient for me. Gym runs from month to month from the 1st of the month. Gym membership is paid in advance, not in retrospective... this a RIP OFF!!!
