First National Bank
Unwanted Cellphone Contract

A few days ago I got a call from an fnb consultant about my cellphone banking. Theyu told me that they have noticed I use x amount of airtime every month and would like to offer me a package which will cost me R100 every month and I would receive R60 airtime 75mb of data and x amount of sms' and the debit order would go off the first of every month starting from July. I agreed to it as this is all he told me and being on pay as you go it sounded much more convenient. Yesterday (6 June) my bis stopped working so I phoned mtn. They informed me that I am no longer on pay as you go, I now have a contract line! My phone is now useless to me as I can ONLY make calls. I went to FNB menlyn business park yesterday and was told they can't help me I must contact the cellphone banking department. I did so and no one was able to help me. I then went to mtn menlyn and they told me that the contract is in my name but there are no details what so ever of the person that created the contract. They could not help me either! This morning I received a call from the courier company asking about delivery. Please could someone shed some light for me as I am highly irritated at this point.
