On 28 May I noticed a R10 charge for a counter statement. As I had not been in to a branch I called and asked who was giving statements on my account and requested they would reverse this. They said they would do it.By 31 May nothing had been done. Again I was assured I would be refunded and the matter investigated.By Tues 4 June still nothing, so I called again. I was told that the incident had been closed! I complained in rather strong terms, to which the call centre manager Craig said I should "let it fly" and not worry about either a R10 charge or someone unauthorised looking at my account! When I asked how he would feel if it was his account he said he would not mind at all. Well, I do. I was assured the amount would be refunded and an investigation take place. It is now 7 June and no refund has happened and no one has advised me in regards of how someone without authority to do so could look at my bank account statement.
I am getting daily calls from Nedbank asking me to invest, yet they have a lax approach to security on my account and keep breaking promises to refund an incorrect charge. Hardly encouraging stuff.
