I tried to open a cheque account online yesteray, but was declined. I recently applied for debt review. However I can not understand this because a coulegue also applied bur hers was approved. As per the people doing the debt review with rhere comments are.
The fact that you are under debt review should have no bearing whatsoever on your being able to open a new bank account as you are not seeking to incur further debt. Perhaps the person you spoke to is not too clued up on how it works as this is not a problem for our clients that I've encountered before.
Please can you explain why my request was declined and hers was approved.
