I applied for a loan with African Bank. I was approved, contract signed, credit card issued. Only to be told I was declined the next day because of debt review. I submitted my debt review cancellation letter to head office. I was told that the debt review had been cleared off the system, the consultant did an ITC check and said I was approved for another loan and to just go to the branch and give my ID number, which I did. This morning I get a call from the consultant at the branch to say the loan has been declined due to arrears and debt review. I tried calling the declines department, the call keeps getting dropped. How can head office clear the system, do an ITC check, approve me, I get issued contracts and cards and then I am DECLINED??? It's pathetic. I need this issue resolved as fast as possible.
