So, it has been a week now and I am still waiting for my refund on the "" debit order placed on my account through ABSA because they ASSUMED I did not have car insurance. Last week Wednesday I responded to an email from an ABSA employee (after he requested that I send proof of insurance again - never mind I had already emailed the proof the previous day to the email address provided by the Call Centre Agent) and I am still waiting for somebody to respond to my email! I have had two debit orders returned due to insufficient funds - ABSA get ready to pay for these as well as the costs incurred for these reversals. Judging by the amount of complaint's on Hello Peter alone, I think ABSA are in some serious trouble - I know I won't recommend banking with ABSA to anyone.
