SIX MONTHS AGO ABSA REWARDS CALL CENTRE CALLED ME, THEY OFFERED THIS PRODUCT. I SAID I AM NOT INTERESTED. THEY KEPT ON HARASSING ME.I STILL DID NOT ACCEPT THIS OFFER. END OF MAY 2013 AND AMOUNT OF R21.00 WAS DEBITED OFF MY ACCOUNT, I HAVE NEVER AUTHORIZED THIS. WHEN I CALLED MY BRANCH, I WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT ASSIST, HE GAVE ME THE 08600 08600 NUMBER. I CALLED THAT NUMBER, THEY COULD'NT ASSIST EITHER AND REFERRED ME TO ANOTHER NUMBER: 0861 788 888. LERATO ANSWERED. ACCORDING TO THEM, I ACTIVATED THESE ABSA REWARDS ON THE 27TH OF MAY 2013 AT A BRANCH, BUT THEY CAN NOT TELL ME WHICH BRANCH. FUNNY, THE 27TH OF MAY 2013, I WAS AT WORK, ALL DAY, WHOLE DAY. WHEN I TOLD LERATO THAT, SHE CHANGED HER STORY. NOW APPARENTLY, THIS WAS DONE VIA THE CALL CENTRE. DOES ABSA AND ABSA REWARDS KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON IN THEIR ORGANISATION? LERATO SAID THEY COULD NOT REFUND THE MONEY IMMEDIATELY, IT WOULD TAKE 7 DAYS. I REQUESTED TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER, AFTER HOLDING ON FOR 10 MINUTES, I SPOKE TO CHRISTIAAN. HE SAID THAT THIS NEEDS TO BE ESCALATED TO WHO EVER AND THEN MY REFUND WOULD ONLY BE DONE IN 7 DAYS. I DEMAND AN IMMEDIATE REFUND AND APOLOGY AS WELL AS A REFUND OF ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS
